Dauphin County Fatal Accident

EAST HANOVER TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN CO. -- A fatal crash in Dauphin County shuts down the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 for several hours this morning.

Police say 34-year-old Kevin Snyder, of Spring Glen, ran into the back of a parked tractor trailer, at the Grantville rest area's off-ramp, in East Hanover Township.

One of Snyder's passengers, 26-year-old Ernest Beltz, of Pine Grove, died from the impact.

The driver of the tractor trailer, who was in the sleeper berth of the truck, went to the hospital with minor injuries.
