York man shot and killed

YORK —
A York man was gunned down in broad daylight.
Michael Palmer died after he was shot in the chest Thursday afternoon near East King and Pattison Streets in York.
The suspected shooter – Charles Preston – turned himself into police. He is also actually the person who called 9-1-1. Police say the two were fighting over a woman. Palmer's girlfriend is the mother of Preston's child.
"This is violence, you know," said Shalene Scott, a friend of the victim. "Everyone's at risk. I could've been walking to the store, or my boyfriend could be walking to the store. this is crazy."
Preston is charged with one count of criminal homicide.
