Identification For State Voters
May 13, 2008
HARRISBURG —
Pennsylvanians may soon need some form of photo identification when voting.
State Senator Darly Metcalfe unveiled his " Pennsylvania Voter Identification Act" on Tuesday.
He said it would require all voters to present either a voter's identification card, driver's license, employee or student identification, or a U.S. passport.
The idea is to combat voter fraud.
Currently, Pennsylvania requires photo identification for first time voters only.
