Land development could send York County residents out
May 14, 2008

YORK TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY — More than 60 families living in a York County neighborhood could soon be forced from their homes.

They live M. and G. Community Mobile Home Park in York Township. Township commissioners recently voted to change the zoning of this land from residential to commercial. The property owner wants to have the option to develop the land in the future.

York Township's Commissioner, Paul Knepper, said officials are considering what's best for the 26,000 township residents.

The 68 families living in the park could be forced to move. They say they will fight to get fair market value for their homes.
